It is a beautiful day and I don't care what you dud today, please please go outside for a bit. Take a few minutes and just relish in these last pieces of summer while you still can!
As you all know I/we are on a little fitness challenge for the next 18 days. We're already TEN days in and man, this shit is work! Things that I never considered before require time, questions I never asked require answers.
Old question for deciding what to eat: Is it candy? Does it taste good? How much will this cost me? Do you deliver?
New questions: Is this good for me? Am I actually even hungry? Can I replace this with something else? How long and what temp does this cook at? How much of this should I eat? How does eating this make me feel? Is this going to help my goal or just make me feel better?
I haven't had coffee since last Tuesday and that's no coffee from a two a day medium hot extra extra habit. Why? Because instead of drinking my meals I'm actually cooking and preparing meals. Chicken, steak, fish, veggies, eggs, salad, snacks. My fridge looks like someone else lives there.
On top of changing some really really poor eating habits I've been going to the gym/exercising daily. Let me tell you, I don't care how many pounds of fat these muscles are under they are LOUD. Everything hurts and that's both scary and exciting. Scary because it makes me take real stock of my body, it's needs and my comforts. Exciting because I assume that at some point all of this creaking will lessen.
I'm attempting to really change my lifestyle and all the little parts of it make it interesting. Focusing on what I can do at this time instead of what I could've done in the past is kinda helping. It's alot and I know it's going to take more than 28 days to change everything, but it's a start. I hope you guys are joining me and getting in your own daily exercise. Take your time and be honest with yourself. Decide you'll do something, anything, for half an hour today. Your body will thank you for it!!
