I went to bed so early last night I missed the rain! When I got up for the nineteenth time this morning it was only drizzling, but I started my day off on my couch just getting calm for the day. I don't sleep well, I don't stay asleep all night and some days I wake up and it almost feels like I never even closed my eyes. I'm working hard on this, have been for about a decade but not much "change". Crazy, how easy we toss that word around, "change", like its nothing.
After getting as close to Zen as I could I cleaned my house, not the usual toss everything on the couch and clean later. Legit got up and cleaned the shit out of my place, just so I could come home later and not do it. CHANGE lol. My mom lived with my most of my life she will tell you that I am not a just get up and clean kind of girl, I clean with a purpose. So to get up and not have an agenda for cleaning was nice. That tells me that some of these little things are sticking, I couldn't be happier. I am also trying to think of change in a different way. Well rather, I am trying to be honest about the fact that change is going to happen whether I want to or not..that goes for you too! If you think you can make time stand still and not change take a look at a picture of you from last year, take a look at your sneakers after you work through some mud. Just take a second to really think about all the things around you that change.
It's funny that we think that we can stop change when it is already so much of our life. You get up every morning and brush your gums right? You bathe and change your clothes on a daily basis? Change songs in the middle of them, no? Lol everyday your world is changing, the people around you are changing and YOU are changing too. Whether you change for the better or the worse is up to you, but trust me change is a-coming! So maybe you want to start thinking of change as a constant because it is, its the only constant you have to look forward to in life! Embrace that! Enjoy it!
Lent ends on Friday, but our desire to change to be a better us doesn't have to! Continue to push yourself and those around you to be better, more engaged, more loving people! I know I will! Also, I will be filming two of my little buddies this week who did something new for Borrow Season-couldn't be more excited! If you have tried anything new, I would love to hear it: hit me up on Facebook, email me at [email protected] or comment here! Enjoy your day, talk tomorrow! #BorrowSeason
