Oh heyyyyy!! So I'm back, yes yes I haven't been writing because I've been in the middle of about seventeen bad situations and really, that's not what I want to put out into the world. However, life's rough and you have to do all the things that bring you joy and this is one of them.
So, some quick updates since its been over a month since we chatted. I'm still writing, most of it has just been on post-its (PostItPepTalks!) and in response to other people's writing. Essentially, I've been doing all kinds of writing-just outside of my blog. Going to try to change that, though! :)
After Lent ended I felt so good I kind of just wanted to bask in that warm, loving, happy feeling. Imagine my surprise when I realized the world could care less and it would be just as much work to STAY happy as it was to get happy. Guess you can't bottle happiness and to know this has made my days harder and not easier lol.
Let me explain in a way that makes sense...think of your car/bike/bus pass for a second. Think about how much easier your life is with them, how many steps you can skip because you already know how easy it is to get things/complete tasks with that option. Now think about those days when you have a flat..they ONLY suck because you know how much easier it is when you didn't have one. That's literally the situation I find myself in daily- knowing what happiness means to me, knowing everything will not bring me happiness and still trying to keep positive. It's a struggle and I am being tested something terrible right now! #WishMeLuck #DoubleUpOnPrayers
What else, what else? On the side of other people's happiness some of my people have some great things going on! My girl, Katie Kleyla, is going to be in the Providence Monthly's June issue. This woman is ever-fabulous, please take the time to check her out...my girls, Isha McCauley and Nadia Kashouh, will be bringing their amazing Green Jars (delicious green smoothies!) to the Farmer's Market on Parade Street in Providence starting May 29th. Please check them out!! Understand that these are not plugs, I get nor want anything more than to see as many of my friends happy and persuing their dreams as possible. Putting positivity out into the world is the number one way to get it back!!
Enjoy your weekend, thanks Veterans and talk soon! Also, subscribe to this blog on the right hand side!! That way you are notified when a new entry is up! #BackAtIt #LongWeekendLove #PostBorrowSeason
